ResumoAbstract The volatiles of the fruits of Pouteria pariry and P.caimito were obtained by simultaneous extraction-distillation and analysed by GC-MS. The main components identified in the oil concentrate of P. pariry were methyl 2-methylbutanoate (50.5%) and methyl 2- methylthiopropanoate ( 26.8%). The oil concentrate of P. caimito was dominated by α-copaene (27.7%), hexadecyl acetate (19.0%) and palmitic acid (12.4%).
