ResumoSUMMARY Spur blight ( Didymella applanata ) spread rapidly and recurred annually in cv. Mailing Jewel raspberries that received inorganic nitrogen fertilizer but the disease was less severe and spread relatively slowly in the absence of applied nitrogen. Infection reduced cropping by 20 to 30 per cent.
