Resumo

Vinylphosphine (1) has been synthesized from diethyl vinylphosphonate in three steps including a retro cycloaddition reaction using flash vacuum pyrolysis (overall yield ∼30%) and characterized by mass, i.r., and n.m.r. spectroscopy; it exhibits a remarkable stability at room temperature in neutral solution.
