Resumo

Abstract The temperature dependence of a complete set of the magnetostriction constants in magnetite from liquid N 2 to room temperature were given. The considerable parts of the anisotropy constants measured by torque method at liquid N 2 temperature were considered to be induced by the magneto-elastic coupling with the lattice distortion.
