ResumoThe prestige of occupational therapy in mental health was studied in relationship to the prestige held by other mental health professions. One hundred fifty four mental health professionals, representing members of a psychiatric treatment team, were surveyed. Although all professionals agreed that occupational therapists held a moderate amount of prestige when considered apart from other disciplines, occupational therapists received the second lowest ranking when placed in a hierarchy with other disciplines.
