ResumoAbstract Allenylcarbinyl, cyclopropylideneethyl, methylenecyclopropylcarbinyl, and spiropentylcarbinyl chloride were prepared and their solvolysis reactions in aqueous ethanol or aqueous dioxane or both were studied. Consideration of the solvolytic reactivity of these compounds and their products in aqueous dioxane indicate that all react, at least in part, via positive charge-delocalized transition states.
