ResumoAbstract Pollen concentrations recorded during three years sampling in north-central London have shown distinctive diurnal variations. This paper identifies these patterns for three pollen taxa and attempts to account for the variations observed. The diurnal variations identified are interpreted in relation to meteorological conditions, pollen source area and phenological patterns of pollen release. A hypothesis of pollen dispersal to the sampling site is suggested.
