ResumoCross sections for collisional quenching of CH A 2Δ, v' = 0 were measured at 1300 K for a variety of collision partners. A laser pyrolysis/laser fluorescence technique was used, involving rapid heating by a pulsed CO2 laser and direct time decay of fluorescence excited by a pulsed dye laser. Where comparisons can be made, the cross sections are higher than those measured previously at room temperature.
