Resumo

Although no effort was made to collect thoroughly in the upland, the following were observed as the botanists returned to the high bridge and their cars: Leucobryum glaucum (Hedw.) Schimp. and Polytrichum ohioense Ren. & Card. Certainly there are additional species there, but the above list of 13 liverworts, 77 mosses, and 26 lichens is evidence of the richness of the cryptogamic flora in the High Bridge gorge.
