Resumo

This survey assesses the chiropodial needs of elderly people of General Practices withage/sex registers in North Manchester. Forty-one percent were already receiving treatment from a chiropodist and a further 30% were found to require treatment. There were two new findings. Amongst those receiving or requiring treatment, there was no association between the number of foot conditions present and the probability of having received treatment prior to the survey. Of those referred for further chiropodial treatment, 93% attended.
