ResumoThe magnetic response of the Bogoljubov model is calculated, by employing a new technique for dealing with gauge-noncovariant approximations to gauge-covariant Hamiltonians.By extending our treatment to very high orders of perturbation theory, we derive a Meissner-Ochsenfeld effect with infinite correlation length, as anticipated by London. For larger wavelengths, the response differs from the London one, in the way predicted by Pippard.
