ResumoPièces de résistance: The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) can acquire drug resistance by mutating the key enzyme HIV protease that is being used as a drug target. A strategy has been developed to predict drug resistance that focuses on the fact that the virus must retain reasonable efficiency for its catalytic reaction while reducing its affinity to the given drug (γM: vitality values for the mutant protein M, Ki: inhibition constant).
