ResumoA method of deconvolution is illustrated using compartmental models. The approach can be used to determine an arbitrary unknown input function from a measured response and the impulse response of the system. Compartmental models are constructed to specify (a) the function fitting the response data and (b) the impulse response of the system. Simulation of these models is then used to construct the unknown input function.
