Several compounds, each possessing a polyoxygenated decalin structure, were synthesized and tested for antifeedant activities against the spruce budworm, Choristoneurafumiferana. Definite biological activity was observed for some of these compounds. A structure–activity relationship was discussed on the basis of these results.
