Resumo

The Lippmann-Schwinger $N$-body equations are ordinarily derived from time dependent scattering theory. Derivations from time independent scattering theory by means of Green's theorem have also been given. Both derivations are based on unproven assumptions. We present a new derivation based on different assumptions which we believe to be more plausible.
