ResumoThe temperature dependence of the anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) of a SrRuO3 epitaxial thin film was studied. In contrast to what is found in manganite thin films, there is no enhancement of the AMR at the Curie temperature. This fact might be explained by the absence of the Jahn–Teller effect in the Ru4+ ion, whereas it is present in the Mn3+ ion. The angular dependence of the resistance could also allow the study of the in-plane magnetic anisotropy of the analyzed film.
