Summary Measurements on the heat conduction by rarefied helium, hydrogen, neon and nitrogen on glass at 0°C have been carried out after Schlei-ermacher's method. Therefor a very thin glass wire with a platinum wire of 15μ, melted in for heating, was used. The results agree closelv with those of Knudsen. These measurements will be continued to lower temperatures after the same method.
