Resumo

Using a particular representation of the nuclear two-body interaction, simplifications can be obtained in calculating matrix elements of the nuclear interaction. The wave functions are constructed from particles of different type (protons and neutrons, particle and hole excitations, bosons of different multipolarity, fermionboson coupled systems). A general expression for nuclear matrix elements is derived. Moreover, in the particular case of up to four particles of each type, we give detailed expressions of the matrix elements.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE General derivation of two-body matrix elements, application to two-particle-two-hole systems, explicit expressions for up to four particle systems.
