ResumoJournal Article Social Capital: Understanding Acculturative Stress in the Canadian Iraqi–Christian Community Get access Raika Abdulahad, Raika Abdulahad * Raika Abdulahad, Ph.D., teaches at the School of Social Work and the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, Lakehead University, Canada. Her research focuses on multicultural social work and immigrants' experience. She is particularly interested in exploring the unique complexities that arise when immigrants settle in Canada. Raika has been published in the International Journal of Social Work and has contributed to a number of publications in the area of Northern and Rural Social Work practice. John Graham, Ph.D., is Murray Fraser Professor of Community Economic Development at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary, and former Foreign Consulting Editor for the British Journal of Social Work. He has published extensively in international development (with a particular focus on Bedouin-Arab communities in the Middle East), Canadian social policy, social welfare history, multicultural social work and research methodology. Also, he sits on nine editorial/article advisory boards of internationally circulating journals. Professor William J. Montelpare, Ph.D., is the Inaugural Margaret and Wallace McCain Chair in Human Development and Health, in the Department of Applied Human Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Prince Edward Island. He was also appointed as a Visiting Professor, School of Healthcare, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, and is an Adjunct Professor to the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Science, Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. Keith Brownlee, Ph.D., is the Director of Research for the Centre of Excellence for Children and Adolescents with Special Needs and Professor, School of Social Work, Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario.
