ResumoData from a new fractionation procedure are described. This method involves precipitation of albumin and transferrin and some other globulins from a 2.0 M ammonium sulphate supernate with glutaminic acid. From the supernate of the glutaminic acid precipitation, an α-glycoprotein was isolated in an immunologically pure form. This protein was analysed for its content of carbohydrate.
