ResumoA method of lead analysis by the cathodic stripping voltammetry technique is suggested in the present study. The experimental conditions and the influence of these factors on the behaviour of lead and sensitivity of the analysis are discussed. The use of the rotating platinum electrode and of a derivative circuit is found to be useful. Compared with amalgam polarography, the cathodic stripping technique has the advantage of easy separation from copper, cadmium, zinc, etc., although the amalgam polarography procedure is more sensitive. The errors of the two methods are approximately the same.
