ResumoWish I Was Here is director, writer, and star Zach Braff's follow up to the 2004 indie hit Garden State. The two films share a lot, and not just in the presence of Braff. Both films focus myopically on the travails of emotionally stunted men on the cusp of change, share soundtracks heavily larded with indie folk, and feature female characters who function as little more than agency-less props who exist only to support the main character's dreams.
