ResumoBathynerilta marina gen. et sp.n., Bathychaetus heptapous gen. et sp.n. (both off the east coast of Scotland), and Afronerilla hartwigi gen. et sp.n. (off the coast of Mauretania) are described; all from the sublittoral. The main features of Bathynerilla marina are: 8 segments with capillary setae; parapodial cirri on each segment; without anal cirri. The features of Afronerilla hartwigi are: 8 segments with capillary setae; without palps, tentacles, and anal cirri; the parapodial cirri on segment 1 and 8 are absent. The main features of Bathychaetus heptapous are: a pharyngeal bulb with a pair of cuticulary jaw‐like structures; 7 segments with capillary setae; parapodial cirri on each segment present; without tentacles.
