ResumoPilonidal sinus is an acquired condition that usually develops in the sacrococcygeal area or other hair-bearing areas. It has also been described as an occupational disease, especially when present interdigitally. We describe the case of a 47-year-old dog groomer with interdigital pilonidal sinus and briefly review the postulated pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, differential diagnosis, and treatment.
