ResumoAbstract Myriocoleopsis riparia Reiner & Gradst. sp. nov. is described and illustrated from S.E. Brazil and N.E. Argentina. It is the second species of the rheophytic South. American genus Myriocoleopsis Schiffn. to be described and is characterized by a thin stem with only 5 rows of cortical cells. A close relationship between Myriocoleopsis and Cololejeunea subgenus Protocolea is postulated.
