AbstractFrom roots of Simethis bicolor Kunth, two constituents were isolated: l,8-dihydroxy-3-methyl-anthraquinone (chrysophanol), and 2-acetyl-1,8-dihydroxy-3-methyl naphthalene (nepodin).
