during the 1980' s undermined economic foundations of the Franc Zone. 50 the monetary aurhoriry of the Union decided, January Il th 1994, to change the pariry CFA Franc/ French Franc to reduce economic and financial imbalances and to contribute to restore macroeconomic stabiliry all-around the Zone. In the sa me way, Union's member states are steering an economic integration to ensure the monetary union's durabiliry.
