ResumoEighteen patients (19 eyes) developed retinal complications following YAG laser capsulotomy. Complications included one retinal flap tear, two macular holes, six eyes with cystoid macular edema, and ten retinal detachments. The retinal complications resulted from opening the capsule and were not a specific complication of the YAG laser.
