Cubanotyphlus guatemalae, sp. n., the fourth known species in Cubanotyphlus Coiffait & Decou, 1972 (previously known from Cuba and Florida), is described from Guatemala (Departamento Zacapa). This discovery extends significantly the known distribution range of the genus and suggests that other undescribed species of Cubanotyphlus exist in Central America.
