ResumoThe teams highlighted in this article represent a diversity of Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) but share similar challenges and successes. These shared experiences provide an opportunity to explore the key issues germane to MDTs. A hallmark of the elder abuse prevention community from its earliest days, the MDT has proven itself as a helpful and effective tool, one that will continue to add value to the field into the foreseeable future. These teams show that MDTs play a valuable role in helping communities increase collaboration, promoting efficiency in handling complex cases of elder abuse, educating the public, and ultimately safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse.
