She received her B. A. in psychology and political science from Columbia University. She received her Associates Degree and graduated ad Valedictorian from Nassau Community College. She currently works for an education law firm in New York and previously interned for the Honorable Joanna Seybert of the Eastern District Court of New York. She has worked extensively in the area of family law, teaching underprivileged children, speaking to high school children about divorce, and assisting with studies at Columbia University focusing on parenting styles.Search for more papers by this authorRinarisa Coronel, Rinarisa Coronel Rinarisa Coronel is a former Staff Editor for Family Court Review, volume 39. She received her J. D. from Hofstra University School of Law in May 2001. She received her B. A. from Fordham University, where she majored in economics and minored in finance. Rinarisa served as a Big Sister with Catholic Big Brothers/Big Sisters for three years during college. She was a summer associate at Schulte, Roth, & Zabel, LLP, where she worked on obtaining an uncontested divorce decree for an indigent veteran with the help of the Network for Women's Services.
