Resumo

An account is given of the laser Raman spectrum of crystalline polypropylene over a wide range of temperatures. At cryogenic temperatures evidence for spectral bands characteristic of the unit cell is presented and explained. The effect of crystallinity and tacticity on the spectra are commented upon. Above the melting point some evidence was found for helical conformations.
