ResumoIn this study, the use of sepiolite, formed as fibers in nature, in the production of fiber‐diopside crystals and its effect on crystallization were researched. Sintering process was performed for both pellet and powdered samples. Grain–grain interactions in pellets were effective in diopside crystallization during sintering. It was determined that poor grain–grain interactions and grains with pores formed local glassy phase and crystallization. Dendritic structure was largely formed than eutectic structure within the pellets. The prevention of dendritic growth of crystals by determining the cooling interval could yield longer fiber crystals.
