Resumo

Continuous measurements of gaseous H2O2 and PAN made over approximately a 2-year period at a site in rural southern England are reported. The concentrations of both species show diurnal and seasonal trends. PAN and H2O2 reached peak concentrations during the afternoon period with the H2O2 tending to peak later than the PAN. Seasonal peak concentrations tended to occur in the spring and early summer but photochemical episodes could strongly influence the concentrations of both species. One photochemical episode is examined in detail where the influence of air mass origin is clearly evident. Correlations with ozone during the episode and for the whole data period are given.
