ResumoHypersensitivity vasculitis is a disorder that usually presents with palpable purpura of the lower extremities, with or without obvious systemic symptoms. The diagnosis can be confirmed by the presence of histological evidence of leucocytoclastic vasculitis. The reported frequency of associated extracutaneous disease is highly variable. Similarly, the prognosis associated with isolated hypersensitivity vasculitis and indications for aggressive treatment are a matter of debate.
