ResumoIntroduction: Leadership plays a key role in achieving efficient patient care. We hypothesized that a positive perception between leadership ability and trauma care efficiency exist. Methods: A prospective observational study evaluating trauma attending leadership was conducted over a five-month period at a level-one trauma center. Following completion of patient care, team members (medics, nurses, residents etc.) evaluated the attending surgeon's (n=7) leadership ability using a modified Campbell Leadership Descriptor.
