Resumo

The vapour pressure of liquid propane has been measured for 14 temperatures from 310 to 368 K with high precision. These measurements, together with the very accurate measurements of Douslin and Harrison(7) for temperatures between 258 and 353 K, the measurements of Kemp and Egan(10) from 166 to 232 K, and the low-pressure measurements performed by Carruth and Kobayashi(2) have been used to determine a new vapour-pressure equation of the Wagner type.(19, 20) This equation contains only four adjustable coefficients and correlates the measured vapour pressures within their estimated experimental accuracy.
