The research was made possible by a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship (GOO-76–03659), a Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research Grant-in-Aid (3175), and a NATO Postdoctoral Fellowship in Science for the academic year 1979–1980.
