Resumo

Hereditary osteo-onychodysplasia is a syndrome primarily affecting the fingernails, elbows, knees, and pelvis. The anomaly of the iris first described by Lester and discussed in this paper is not a valid part of this syndrome. A case report and the findings in family members are presented.
