Resumo

We present a flexible framework for empowering mobile access to Internet content. It utilizes Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) as a common communication platform for improving performance and reducing latency. ICAP is an open protocol and extends a caching server to provide value-added services at the edge of the network. Our adaptation framework provides higher scalability, reliability and performance for content adaptation and enables efficient caching for transcoded content. Comparison of the adaptation results generated by our system is presented.
