ResumoThe piezoelectric SQUIGGLE® motor model SQ-110C from New Scale Technologies, Inc., has been used in a cryostat as part of a mechanism to accurately deform a cylindrical superconducting microwave resonator in order to change its resonant frequency. This paper describes the practical setup for testing and using the piezo motor in a cryostat, and comments on the performance of the motor at temperatures from room temperature to 6 K.
