Resumo

A turbidimetric apparatus has been developed for the determination of the consolution curve of binary mixtures. Measurements are fast and fairly accurate. The apparatus has been used to carry out a systematic study of the effect of various added salts on the consolution curve of alkyl poly(ethylene oxide) (CmEn) micellar solutions. Measurements of the aging effect on the critical consolution temperature of C12E8 are also presented.
