In fact, Yates and Bunting (1) in 1915 were the first to mention the possibility of a cure and 2 years later wrote (2): "We are of the opinion that in about 20% of all cases as we see them, recovery is a possibility at present." "Earlier diagnosis and the recognition that Hodgkin's disease, if treated promptly and radically, is curable would raise this percentage materially . . ." (3).Then Dr. Vera Peters...References1.
