ResumoThe objective of this work is to show the Spanish bank’s position in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility in Latin America. This research was based on a case study about the two large banks –Santander and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria– in three Latin American Countries –Argentina, Brazil and Chile– through public data such as social or sustainability reports and media sources. Our findings confirm there is some evidence to suggest that management standards have been translated from their headquarters to their subsidiaries in Latin America, however it would be necessary this standards to be adapted to the geographical context.
