His short stories have appeared in numerous anthologies, and his journalistic writing along with his blog enjoy a large following Mark Carlyon, a translator living in Rio de Janeiro, has translated a number of Brazilian classics, including works by Machado de Assis, João do Rio, and Lima Barreto
