We describe a lumbar puncture-induced spinal epidural hematoma in a patient who had abnormal clotting variables associated with severe hepatic disease.A 57-year-old man with biopsy-proven Laennec's cirrhosis was admitted in a lethargic and unresponsive state. He was emaciated and icteric. There were "spider" angiomata on his upper thorax; there was no evidence of trauma. Vital signs were normal. There was mild nuchal rigidity. He moved all extremities in response to pain. Verbal commands did not elicit any response. Tendon reflexes were symmetrical. There were no...References1. PEAR B: Spinal epidural hematoma.
