ResumoIn the last decade, the world has become digitally hyper-connected, resulting in many activists taking online spaces as a crucial part of their activism. This article focuses on an e-campaign, ‘A Call to Action: Keep Saartjie Baartman Centre Open’, in which feminists located at the Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children and the African Gender Institute of the University of Cape Town worked in solidarity to bring into the public domain the Centre's financial crisis and looming closure, by creating a video to use in advocacy. The article considers feminist mobilising and responses to violence against women in the Western Cape, and what it means to take feminist principles seriously in activism.
