ResumoBudd-Chiari syndrome, an uncommon entity, is produced by obstruction of hepatic venous outflow at the level of the hepatic venules, hepatic veins, or inferior vena cava. It is associated with hypercoaguable states, certain medications, thrombus (benign or malignant), oral contraceptives, pregnancy, and congenital webs.
