Resumo

Bimodal grain-size frequency distributions are common in Kalahari-type sands of Tertiary—Quaternary age in western Zambia. Bimodal sands from Kamweji and Sesheke lacking modes in the 2.0–2.5 φ fraction are here interpreted as the lag deposits of wind-deflated areas.
