Resumo

We have analysed elastic electron scattering data by means of charge distributions derived from single-particle proton wave functions in a central potential of the Saxon-Woods type, and have found that it is possible to fit both the electron scattering and the proton binding energies as far as these are known from (p, 2p) scattering experiments. In this paper we report results for 40Ca and 32S, and, in the case of 40Ca, compare the electron scattering results with those obtained using phenomenological charge distributions.
